Life can be tough, especially when you are a teen. These years are filled with choices, challenges, pressures, stress, and new problems you may have never had to face before. Now is a very important time to focus on your mental health.

Teen mental health is the way your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect your life. Everyone has mental health. It ranges from good, to not-so-good, and even to poor at times. Positive teen mental health is about making good choices, dealing with life problems in a positive way, having a positive view of yourself and your life, and developing satisfying and meaningful relationships with others.

It is not uncommon to develop problems with your mental health. One in five teens have a problem with their mental health in any given year, according to national statistics. Even though it is so common and there are things that help, most teens don’t get the help they need.
